With more than 20 years' experience working with some of the UK's leading retail and manufacturing businesses, Stewart joined us early in 2018 as a senior consultant.

Self-motivated, dynamic and driven, he has deep knowledge of product management, brand and own-brand sourcing and development, buying, trading, business development and marketing: experience gained by working across general merchandise, non-food and food categories, for B2B and B2C organisations in retail, wholesale and supply side.

Stewart started out in supply chain management working for Argos and Halfords, then made the leap into commercial having completed his studies at the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply. His nine years at Tesco Plc saw him leading significant change across several departments and categories for the UK and international markets. In his last two years at Tesco, he was responsible for a business start-up which took Tesco's capability into new international markets and new UK channels, generating new sales, profit and scale for the group.

Most recently Stewart played a pivotal role in the turnaround of Nisa Retail, taking the business from a £3.1m loss to a £7.3m profit in Year 1, while step-changing the customer proposition, developing the operating model and evolving the culture to be future fit. This culminated in the recent transaction to sell to the Co-operative Group.

Stewart is passionate about giving back. He is a board trustee accountable for fund generation for the Making a Difference Locally charity, which contributes £1.4m a year to community charities. He also enjoys doing slightly crazy fundraising stunts for charities in his own local area, Hertfordshire, where he lives with his wife Sarah and two boys. Stewart loves music, rugby and food shared with family and friends - and anyone else who is prepared to listen to him.
