Sean was one of our founding partners back in 2000, and has led the company ever since. As well as shaping our direction, style and impact, Sean plays a key role in developing new business.

He also drives the innovation and thinking behind the unique ways of working that help our clients achieve transformational change. Because our clients are often leaders in their own sectors, this demands a blend of conceptual rigor, integrated thinking and the ability to connect at all levels quickly to make things happen fast, ensure they stick and are sustainable.

Over the years, Sean has developed a range of proprietary models, frameworks, diagnostics and approaches that significantly accelerate the individual, team and organisational insight, connection and focus that are needed to achieve transformational change. These include the Attention Model, Enlightened Leadership, Behavioural Lean, Practical innovation, The DNA of Change and High performance teams (HPT).

Working across Europe and the US, Sean has been instrumental in transforming business for a wide range of clients, including Walgreens, Severn Trent Water, Boots, Galenica, UK Coal and Snapfish. He has also worked on operational excellence and major change programs within organisations including Tesco, Syngenta, ICI and Kelda Group. With sector experience encompassing retail, manufacturing, utilities, life sciences, and the not for profit sector, he has deep expertise in transformation program design, customer back and future back thinking, strategy development and sustainable execution, lean end to end process design, leadership development, climate and culture change.

In 2017 Sean was named a Global Leader in Consulting Innovation by US-based Consulting Magazine; a prestigious award which is a testament to the deep insight, empathy and integrity he brings to his work with clients’ businesses – and with our own. Sean has spoken at many conferences and universities on the topic of future back thinking and how to land big change. Between 2009-2013 he was chair of the Birmingham City University Business School Advisory Board and a visiting professor. He is currently a visiting professor at Leeds Beckett University.

He holds an MSc (Econ) in Industrial Relations from the London School of Economics, and a BSc (Hons) in Industrial Sociology from the University of Bath. He is Chartered Member of the Institute of Personnel Management and is qualified to administer Level B psychometric tests (OPQ, 16PF, MBTI & KAI).

Outside of work, Sean enjoys making music, the outdoors, and adventures with his family, which variously involve sailing, surfing, running and cycling.
