Rob is an experiential learning and training specialist, with over 25 years of consulting experience. He focuses on helping senior executives and their line teams improve their practical capabilities and commercial acumen at work.

Rob joined the Egremont team in 2017 to help us develop and strengthen a rapidly growing part of our offer: training and development.

Rob specialises in leading and supporting the design, development, delivery and co-ordination of experiential learning events that are based firmly in the commercial context of each client. He creates tailored interventions that suit the needs of each engagement, and builds the skills of clients’ in-house teams when large-scope assignments call for wide-scale delivery. In doing so, Rob works as an integral member of our consulting teams, creating a seamless fit between developing effective business solutions and achieving successful implementation. His experience spans a wide range of businesses in financial services, manufacturing, retail, utilities and others. Significant recent client assignments have included Deutsche Bank, RBS, Tesco and Zurich.

Rob has a BA in Economics from Leeds University. Before moving into consulting, he became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD). He is certified to administer and interpret the MBTI personality instrument and the EBW emotional intelligence psychometric system.

Rob lives in South East London with his wife Sue and two noisy cats, in place of the children who have grown up and flown the family nest. Inside and outside of work, Rob enjoys creating memorable experiences with family, friends and colleagues. He also enjoys making things, including ginger beer, damson gin and mojitos. He prefers to ride a motorbike than drive a car, and his wife is happy to ride pillion.
